The role of a coach encompasses various responsibilities and duties. To ensure the effectiveness of their performance, it’s crucial for coaches to continuously enhance their skills through diverse approaches, including committing to a developmental action plan as a means of driving change


To make progress towards achieving a set goal or objective, it’s crucial to comprehend the nature of the required actions. This involves recognizing the specific targets, support systems, and steps that are necessary for moving forward in a realistic manner.


After comprehending our role and responsibilities as coaches, the next step is to determine the appropriate course of action to sustain our progress. It’s also essential to remember to reflect on our performance throughout the journey.


Coaches can monitor their progress throughout the year by holding themselves accountable. This template, originally developed by FAW, was employed in both my degree and PGCE dissertations.
